CEO and Employment Law Specialist

Jemma founded Orchard Employment Law in 2015 and has advised and represented employers in Employment Tribunals across the UK since 2011. She supports businesses with complex employment law and HR matters, helping leaders manage workplace challenges with clarity, confidence and a practical understanding of commercial risk.

Alongside leading Orchard Employment Law, Jemma sits on multiple business boards and contributes to discussions on the issues affecting employers and the wider business community. She is also an experienced keynote speaker and trainer and regularly provides expert employment law commentary for national media, including the BBC, ITV and Sky News.

Samantha

HR Advisor & Solicitor Advocate

Samantha is a dual-qualified Solicitor Advocate with a strong reputation for handling complex employment and discrimination matters. Samantha has extensive experience and is a vigorous and versatile litigator, helping clients solve their most complex and challenging legal problems.

Laura has a wealth of experience in people matters. Her experience in the legal and HR field means that she is a great Employment Tribunal Advocate and is often seen chairing HR meetings for our clients.

Auriol is a CIPD Fellow with over 20 years of HR experience in large and small businesses. Auriol loves working with all things Diversity and Inclusion but also has a talent for Organisational Development, Employee Relations and HR Strategy.

Lottie has been building her HR career since 2021, gaining valuable experience across employee relations, recruitment, HR services and compliance within the healthcare and public health sectors. She has supported managers with a wide range of people matters, including employee relations cases, recruitment processes and day-to-day HR advice, developing a strong understanding of the challenges employers face in fast-paced and complex environments. With a practical, approachable style and a proactive approach to problem-solving, Lottie is committed to providing clear, effective HR support that helps businesses manage their people with confidence.

HR Consultant

Edua is an experienced HR Consultant with over 20 years’ experience advising employers across the public, private and third sectors. Holding a Legal Practice Course (LPC) qualification, she combines a strong legal foundation with extensive practical HR expertise. Edua has supported businesses of all sizes on a wide range of employment matters, including employee relations, disciplinary proceedings, grievances, redundancy, TUPE, recruitment, employment contracts, employee handbooks and settlement agreements. Having worked for large HR and employment law consultancies and within complex organisational environments, she is known for delivering clear, commercially focused advice and practical solutions that help employers confidently manage their people while remaining compliant with employment law.

Natalie provides essential support across the company’s operations. She works closely with Jemma to manage schedules, coordinate documentation and keep day-to-day processes running smoothly. Lucy has a wealth of knowledge from her many years in HR. In addition to being a qualified workplace mediator, Lucy sits as a part-time panel member (lay judge) at Employment Tribunals. This experience places her in the perfect position for chairing HR Meetings.
